About the job - A Cost Controller at Northvolt is responsible for managing and controlling costs associated with the construction project. They ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule by monitoring and analyzing costs and providing recommendations to project teams.

About the team - You will be part of the Northvolt project team of about 40 employees that will have the overall responsibility of this mega project based in Heide Germany.

About the work environment - The office is currently located in Hamburg with an outreach to Heide, Schleswig-Holstein where the giga-factory will be built. p>

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Develop and implement cost control procedures and processes
  • Analyze and report on project costs, including budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that cost requirements are met
  • Monitor and control costs associated with labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Evaluate and manage risks associated with project costs and provide recommendations to mitigate those risks
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors
  • Provide support in dispute resolution processes, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation

In addition to these, a Cost Controller at Northvolt must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under tight deadlines. They must also have a strong commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. p>

We believe that you have :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost control in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of cost control procedures and processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Familiarity with construction industry practices and procedures
  • Proficiency in cost control software and Microsoft Office applications.< /
