We are looking for an Android Software Engineer for our team which builds the next generation of Porsches invehicle infotainment system from the ground up providing our customerss an elevated driver experience.

You will be part of a crossfunctional product team and will be based in Ludwigsburg Germany. In your role you will contribute to the products success by developing stateoftheart Androidbased automotive products. Furthermore you will be involved in all aspects of the product development process for new Porsche infotainment services and driving experiences including initiating new product ideas creating and evaluating concepts building technical proof of concepts and delivering products to our customers.

The Android product Team is part of our Portfolio Vehicle. Within this Portfolio we work in crossfunctional product teams across the globe to develop premium customized Porsche services that are integrated seamlessly into the existing digital life of our customers. Global collaboration and synergies based on lean and datadriven processes are key to our success.

WHAT YOUR TASKS ARE

As an Infotainment Software Engineer youll be a vital part of our agile team shaping the future of Porsches infotainment UI. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Design and implement Android Automotive apps in Kotlin covering both UI and business logic and ensure seamless performance across various incar displays
  • User Interface Excellence : Craft interactive and responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and connect these interfaces to vehicle APIs for a seamless user experience
  • Lead and define technical strategies for the team including architectural decisions testing approaches and tooling
  • Coach and mentor fellow software developers fostering a collaborative environment
  • Contribute your code software design and innovative ideas to enhance the Porsche Infotainment software stack
  • Quality Assurance : Write tests perform code reviews and ensure highquality code in a continuous integration (CI) environment
  • Collaborate closely with product owners designers architects and other stakeholders
  • Translate requirements into effective technical solutions within the product backlog
  • Tech Trends and Innovation : Stay informed about new technologies & infotainment trends and keep your finger on the pulse of solutions that can elevate our software stack.
  • Test your implemented features rigorouslyon your computer a test bench and in actual vehicles.

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

  • Some years of professional experience in software development (mobile or automotive)
  • Proficiency and handson experience in Android technologies (Kotlin Jetpack Compose Coroutines Dagger Gradle etc.
  • Solid understanding of Android SDK App architecture and general software design
  • Experience with unit integration and UI testing (Android testing frameworks)
  • Handson knowledge of build pipelines CI / CD software lifecycle
  • Advocate clean code and architecture
  • Experience in automotive is a plus but not required)
  • Experience in Android platform development is a plus but not required
  • Experience in C / Qt / QML development is a plus but not required
  • Handson experience with Scrum / agile work environment
  • Selfdriven and motivated to get things done

  • Fluent in German & English
