Function description

We are in search of a skilled 2 nd Engineer for a project located in Denmark. This role is designated for a specific project starting from the 17 th of February to the 29 th of March. A 2 nd Engineer on a jack-up vessel is responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in maintaining and operating the vessel's mechanical and electrical systems. Their primary focus is ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of the vessel's engines, propulsion systems, and auxiliary machinery.

Responsibilities :

• Overseeing the operation of the main engines, generators, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensuring all mechanical systems are functioning properly.
• Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Ensuring stability and proper functionality of the jacking mechanisms.
• Performing engine room watchkeeping shifts.
• Diagnosing mechanical and technical issues and assisting in repairs.
• Following safety protocols to prevent equipment failures and hazards.
• Reporting maintenance and operational updates to the Chief Engineer.
