The project is centred on the optimization of a standardised odour delivery device (olfactometer) based on the design of a recently published precise and modular olfactometer (Ackels et al.
The time limit is based on the end of the project term on July 1, . Together with the research associate / postdoc (m / f / d), we will evaluate the specific needs of the FOR members laboratories in the research unit concerning their existing setups to adapt the olfactometer hardware combined with professional, standardized control software.
Ihr Profil
- Completed studies or doctorate in neuroscience, engineering, physics or related disciplines
- A professional, team-oriented and flexible working attitude
- Strong interest in designing, developing, setting up and working with custom built equipment
- Experience in version-controlled coding using Python and / or Matlab is desirable
- Openness to travel between partner laboratories (e.g. Magdeburg, Bielefeld, London)
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills to work in an interdisciplinary environment
