Your mission

An opportunity for an ambitious procurement consultant to build on their experience in project leadership. As a Manager, you’ll work closely with clients to lead consulting teams to drive savings and transform procurement functions. You will manage all aspects of client relationships and you’ll relish a big challenge. Most of all, you’ll need to be energetic and highly motivated with the passion to achieve outstanding results.

You should have a passion for procurement and proven experience leading cost optimization and transformation programmes. Experience working within a multi-national environment is desired. You will be expected to be able to take a lead role in the design, organisation and development of procurement operating models for clients, including organizational design, team development, and digital tools.

As well as managing projects, this is an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial management consultancy including business development, practice development, and building leading-edge methodologies to support client services. We are looking for ambitious people with the capability to become Partners in the business.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Managing and leading consulting projects
  • Managing senior client relationships
  • Managing a variety of stakeholders, at all levels
  • Managing high-performing consulting teams and individuals
  • Implementation of cost improvement and procurement transformation programmes
  • Conducting key supplier negotiations
  • Supporting, coaching, and delivering all aspects of procurement cost reduction; from spend analysis to sourcing to contract implementation
  • Supporting business development, practice development, and methodology development

Your experience (essential) :

  • Project leadership with a recognized UK / European procurement consultancy
  • Led value optimisation / change programmes (within a procurement environment)
  • Strong category knowledge ideally, within a multi-national environment
  • Your profile

  • An excellent degree
  • At least five years of consulting experience with a leading consultancy
  • Background of personally delivering procurement outcomes across direct and indirect spend areas
  • Strong analytical skills and enjoy solving complex problems
  • Project management skillset
  • Team management experience
  • Passion for solving complex problems
  • Clear understanding of procurement
  • Excellent client management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent good communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Great people skills and ability to work hard as part of a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Fluent in English, with another European language as an advantage
  • Desire to play a key role in developing a growing Procurement consultancy

    Working Arrangements & Travel

    Our Consultants are completely flexible and mobile in their work; travelling and operating on-site with clients, working with our teams from H&Z offices, and also working from home. Work location is determined by the client, the project, and the business. There is no fixed pattern, and each week could be different, with travel requirements determined at very short notice, therefore you must be flexible, enjoy travel, and be able to work remotely.
