These are your tasks Lead a backend development team, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective communication with other teams and stakeholders. Drive the development and maintenance of our service-oriented architecture using PHP and Laravel Design and optimize distributed systems and services that scale Collaborate closely with product managers and other stakeholders to deeply understand business needs and translate them into robust technical solutions. Mentor and guide team members, fostering their technical and professional growth. Advocate for and implement best practices, including clean code, performance optimization, and system reliability. Actively contribute to the evolution of our tech stack, introducing new tools or processes where necessary to improve efficiency and outcomes. Ensure software quality through the implementation of testing strategies, including automated testing. Participate in planning, monitoring, and improving the platform's performance and scalability What you are throwing in Technical Expertise : Proven experience with PHP and the Laravel framework. Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) and distributed data technologies (Redis, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch). Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and tools like Kafka. Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles. Experience in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, etc.) and managing Linux systems. A solid understanding of backend testing methodologies and tools (e.g., PHPUnit) Leadership Skills : Experience leading backend development teams or projects. Ability to mentor and coach team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders.
