Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany

EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany.

Hauptaufgaben

Position assists pilots to file IFR flight plans according to standards published by Euro control within the European area of jurisdiction and those departing out of the European area of jurisdiction with a destination anywhere in the world. Assist Pilots to file IFR flight plans according to standards published by Nations outside the European area of jurisdiction departing out of there with a destination inside or outside the European area of jurisdiction.

Assist Pilots to file VFR flight plans within Germany during day and during night in controlled and uncontrolled airspace. Assist pilots to file VFR flight plans departing out of Germany to a destination, which is located outside Germany. Assist pilots to file VFR flight plans coming from a foreign country with destination in a foreign country or in Germany. Assist pilots to file a so-called VFR ? Local flight plan (Regulation 95-1) during day and night and assure that the pilots are aware of the above regulation. In case where pilots are under time pressure or request assistance because they have nobody to assist them (For example crew has landed at an airfield without any flight assistance and a flight plan is not available). Correct flight plans filed at other stations outbound Stuttgart to their next destination and / or coordinate landing permission requests (so called PPR-requests) to enable crews to land at any airports requiring a landing permission.

Maintain, verify and post all Notices to Airmen (NOTAMS) issued by ATC agencies. Interpret and explain crews (tenant and transit) national and international flight information publications to enable them to get all information required to conduct their flight as safe as possible.

Position utilize the knowledge and skills required to operate the German ATC computer system sufficient to input flight plans European- and worldwide into that computer system, so that all ATC sections concerned have knowledge about that particular flight.

Dispatchers at Stuttgart Base Ops have to have an international radio license, which allows them to talk to aircraft flying IFR or VFR in German or English language. This is the highest radio license level existing in Germany. Dispatcher at Stuttgart Base OPS is doing positive ramp control for all aircraft taxiing / hovering on the military apron, no matter what size the aircraft has. Under guideline of Base Ops Transit Alert is parking aircraft at parking positions to their convenience.

Qualifikationsanforderungen

Position may be filled at the CG-02, CG-03 or at the full performance level, CG-04. Incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher or full performance level in accordance with regulatory requirements, upon completion of required training, and recommendation of supervisor.

Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Flugberater (mit Erlaubnis) bei der Deutschen Flugsicherung (DFS) oder der Bundeswehr (BW) in Ausbildung zum Erwerb von Berechtigungen in der Flugberatung (FB) auf Flugplätzen der Kategorie II / Completed education as Flight Adviser (with license) during training for obtaining authorizations in flight advice on a category II airfields

CG-03 : Air Traffic Assistant / Flugdienstberater

Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Flugdienstberater / in bei der Deutschen Flugsicherung (DFS) oder der Bundeswehr (BW) mit EBG (Einsatzberechtigungsgruppe) fuer Flugplaetze der Kategorie II / Completed education as Flight Adviser / Flugberater (FB) with Group of Assignment Authorizations / Einsatzberechtigungsgruppe (EBG) on a category II airfields

CG-04 : Senior Air Traffic Assistant / Flugdienstberater :

Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Flugdienstberater / in bei der Deutschen Flugsicherung (DFS) oder der Bundeswehr (BW) und 8 Jahre Berufserfahrung als Flugdienstberater, CG-03 oder vergleichbaren Stellen; davon die letzten 4 Jahre mit Ausbilderberechtigung ODER Wahrnehmung von Sonderaufgaben in AFOD (Army Flight Operations Detachment / Heeresfliegerleitstelle) oder auf Flugplätzen der Kategorie II

Applicant must be in the possession of a valid driver's license class B and must be able to obtain / maintain a military motor vehicle operator's license.

Office automation skills.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL :

English Language Proficiency Level C1 and German Language Proficiency Level C2required.
