Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to oversee the successful implementation and upgrade of S / 4HANA systems for two key clients within the Manufacturing and Automotive industries. This is a dynamic, remote position with travel requirements to Frankfurt, Munich, or Ulm once every two weeks for on-site meetings and project milestones. The ideal candidate is a native German speaker with strong project management experience in SAP, specifically S / 4HANA, and a proven track record in leading large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformations.
Key Responsibilities
S / 4HANA Implementation & Upgrade Management :
Lead and manage two separate S / 4HANA projects, including full implementations and system upgrades, for clients in the manufacturing and automotive sectors. Ensure project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables are met within scope, time, and budget.
Project Planning & Execution :
Develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource planning, timelines, risk assessments, and budgets. Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring that both internal and external teams remain aligned with project goals.
Client Liaison & Stakeholder Management :
Act as the primary point of contact for both clients and internal stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and providing regular updates on project progress. Manage client expectations and deliverables while maintaining strong professional relationships.
Risk & Issue Management :
Proactively identify potential risks or obstacles in the project lifecycle. Implement mitigation strategies and issue resolutions to keep the project on track and ensure smooth progress.
Cross-Functional Team Collaboration :
Work closely with SAP functional consultants, developers, business analysts, and other team members to ensure a cohesive project execution. Foster collaboration across teams to ensure integration and smooth delivery.
Change Management & Training :
Coordinate with internal change management teams to ensure successful adoption of the S / 4HANA systems. Ensure proper user training and documentation is in place to facilitate system transition and usage.
On-Site Travel :
Travel to Frankfurt, Munich, or Ulm for project-related meetings, workshops, and client engagements every second week. Travel expenses will be reimbursed separately.
