Junior Supply Chain Manager (f / m / d)

Starting date : May 2025

Compensation package : €50,000 - €55,000 in yearly salary and up to €5,000 in equity. Additionally, up to €5,000 p.a. in company benefits.

Work model : Full time, Hybrid in Munich.

Your Role

As a Junior Supply Chain Manager at Orbem , you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials, components, and products within our AI-powered hardware supply chain. You will support procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier coordination to optimize our operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytical individual eager to grow in a fast-paced, deep-tech environment.

Your day-to-day

Your responsibilities include :

Optimize Supply Chain Processes : Support the development and enhancement of procurement, warehousing, and distribution strategies, including last-mile logistics for customers in Europe and the US.

Supplier & Inventory Management : Assist in managing supplier relationships, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Data-Driven Improvements : Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization, contributing to the company’s scaling efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with teams across the organization to streamline operations—whether ensuring the field operations team has the right materials on time or supporting customer success to guarantee seamless product availability.

Logistics Implementation : Assist in executing logistics solutions, including third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships and decentralized warehouse strategies to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.

Performance Tracking : Contribute to the reporting and documentation of key supply chain metrics to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.

Experience and skills

1–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations (internships included).

Hands-on mentality with a proactive, flexible approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

Supplier management & negotiation skills , with experience in building and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Strong problem-solving abilities , capable of identifying supply chain inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions.

Familiarity with inventory management and logistics fulfillment processes.

Project management skills , including experience with project management tools and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.

Technical understanding of production processes and hardware quality factors.

Communication skills

You have assumed team and project management roles in the past.

You leverage your critical thinking and analytical skills in decision making.

You are an excellent communicator.

What makes you stand out from other candidates

Background in hardware, manufacturing, or deep-tech industries.

Experience working with ERPs or supply chain management software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Proficiency in German is a plus.
