TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer (m / w / d) at our locations Bayreuth, Lehrte or Dachau who will contribute to this and that might be you?

Your contribution to TenneT

You will support the Digital and Data Germany Department on data analytics subjects, working in close collaboration with data scientist and other technology experts, supporting business achieving its goals. As a thought leader on data analytics and data driven solutions, you will facilitate the energy transition via the followings :

  • Implementing and maintaining our data platforms and data infrastructure
  • Ensuring data quality and consistency across all data sources
  • Developing and maintaining our data platforms on premises and in the cloud
  • Developing and maintaining Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) microservices
  • Collaborating with software developers to integrate data infrastructure into applications
  • Keeping up to date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices

Your profile and background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
  • 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related field
  • 3 years of experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark or Kafka
  • Proficiency in Python and maybe other programming languages like Java or Scala
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • You have a good command of English and German (C1)
