We are looking for a Head of Applications (m / f / d)for our Group IT department at our location inNeunkirchen / Siegerland, or Dortmund, or Giebelstadt (largely remotepossible).

YourRole

As Head of ITApplications (m / w / d) , you are steering all IT ApplicationServices for the SSI SCHÄFER GROUP across business units andregions. With your globally distributed team, you provide andcontinuously improve state-of-the-art IT services that enablecontinued business success. You define and implement a globallyharmonized application landscape. By shaping and executing globaltransformation initiatives together with your business stakeholders(e.g. ERP roadmap), you ensure to realize an integrated andconsolidated application architecture step-by-step. You arereporting to the Group CIO.

Your KeyResponsibilities

  • Steer theglobal IT applications team of 50+ highly qualified experts -currently organized in the teams for CAD / PLM, ERP, CRM,Collaboration / M365
  • Complete the implementationof truly global IT application services and ensure requiredavailability, performance, and scalability
  • Ideate, align, and realize the target ITarchitecture / application landscape to ensure successful applicationrationalization incl. continuous sundown of legacycomponents
  • Co-shape and co-drivestrategic / transformational initiatives, e.g. ERP roadmap of SSISCHÄFER GROUP together with the business units, global functions,and regions
  • Act as permanent member of theglobal IT Management Team and serve as deputy of the groupCIO
  • Select and steer external partners toensure successful IT project realization as well as reliable ITservices

YourProfile

  • Degree in computerscience, business informatics, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in IT application management,thereof at 7+ years of disciplinary leadership (e.g. team lead / department lead)
  • Strong experience inbusiness-driven ERP transformation / harmonization (template designand rollout) in global organizations
  • Solidbackground in Enterprise Architecture Management with strong focuson application landscape design and applicationrationalization
  • Proficient expertise inrequired IT methodologies and technologies (e.g. IT ServiceManagement / ITIL, SaaS, Cloud Computing, Waterfall vs. Agile vs.Hybrid Project Management)
  • Highly engaged andvisionary leader with strong empathy and ability to successfullyact at the intersection of business and IT
  • Excellent German and English language skills are amust
