Within the Human Resources organization, the role of a HR Business Partner (HRBP) is to enable the delivery of our purpose, by partnering with the business through close collaboration and working with the HR Communities of Expertise (CoE’s) and People Services.
The purpose of the HRBP role is to work with leaders to shape and implement the people agenda within the business through enhancement of their leadership capabilities and by driving their strategic people decisions, such as talent and succession planning, people development and team performance. At the same time, the HRBP assures delivery and collaborates in a smooth way with all other (HR) parties to reach the end goals. The HRBP position is based in Luxembourg and reports to the HR Director of ING Luxembourg
Your key responsibilities
The HRBP works closely with business leaders and their management teams in shaping and implementing the people agenda. Responsible for building a strong relationship within a business line or function, the HRBP brings in-depth specialist knowledge in multiple HR areas of expertise. Equally, the HRBP quickly builds a strong business acumen and affinity with the business line or function they are responsible for. The HRBP coaches and builds the capabilities of business leaders and their management teams on the people strategy. The HRBP plays a strategic role in implementing global people solutions within their business line or function, developed by the CoE’s.
Key activities include, amongst others :
- People development : developing the capabilities of leaders within their scope.
- Engagement : supporting and coaching leaders to help them grow the engagement of our people
- Change & Organisation Development : acting as a change agent and applies relevant organization design expertise during business transformations.
- Organisation reviews & workforce planning : partnering with business leaders in building strategic workforce plans.
- Performance, Compensation & Talent reviews : leading and supporting annual people processes; performance review, compensation review, succession planning and talent review.
- Diversity & Inclusion : acting as an ambassador of the diversity & inclusion-strategy.
The HRBP also feeds back the business needs and context to the HR CoE’s, so they can create new or change existing people solutions.
How to succeed?
You hold a Master’s degreeYou have 5+ years relevant work experience in human resources, or are an experienced people manager in a business environment with an affinity and passion for HRYou are Fluent in English (speaking and writing) and have by preference a good knowledge of French and / or German / Luxembourgish which is an extra assetExperience in an international and matrix organization is an advantageYou have a proven track record managing and implementing changesYou have profound communication, convincing and advisory skills with the ability to influence business leadersYou can ‘get people on board’ and ensure necessary buy-in from stakeholdersYou have strong business acumen and ability to adapt quickly to financial industryYou have a strong strategic focus and an ability to translate the people vision into increased business performance.You have a good understanding on how data analysis and reporting support building the people agenda.You are capable and willing to be pragmatic in delivery in support and good collaboration with your colleagues within the COEs and People Services.
