We are recruiting on behalf of a leading tech company based in Aachen, specializing in high-performance web applications.
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with advanced German language skills (C1 or above) to join their Agile team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects while contributing to a collaborative, Agile-driven environment.
About the Role :
As a Senior Java Developer, you’ll be involved in developing, optimizing, and maintaining sophisticated web applications within Agile teams.
This role combines hands-on development with leadership responsibilities, where you’ll mentor junior developers and uphold best practices.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, optimize, and deploy web applications using Java within Agile teams .
- Lead development initiatives and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives .
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and QA testers, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
- Conduct code reviews, ensuring code quality and scalability.
- Stay current with industry trends, bringing new insights to enhance the team’s capabilities.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in Java development, particularly in web applications.
- Proficiency in Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Fluency in German (C1 or above) essential for effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web application architecture.
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
