The School of Mechanical Engineering and Safety Engineering,Chair of Materials for Additive Manufacturing, invites applicationsfor a position as Research Assistant (postdoc) in the field ofadditive manufacturing of metals This position is to be filled assoon as possible up to 3 years and with 100 % of the tariff workinghours (part-time is possible, please state when applying whetheryou would also be interested in a part-time job). Salary : E 13 TV-LProfessional and personal requirements : You have successfullycompleted a master-s degree as well as a doctorate in materialsscience, mechanical engineering, physics or similar, are interestedin additive manufacturing of metallic materials and would like togain further qualifications in your postdoc phase. If you meet thefollowing requirements, we look forward to receiving yourapplication : Extensive experience in the field of additivemanufacturing of metals (PBF, DED) and / or materials testing(mechanical properties) Very good knowledge of the materialsscience of metals and a good understanding of physics Enthusiasmfor working in research and experience in handling complex systemsand equipment High degree of independence, self-motivation,reliability and initiative Self-organization skills, ability towork in a team and good communication skills Very good Englishlanguage skills (oral and written) Very good written expression Thefollowing are also desirable : Experience in submitting applicationsto national and international funding agencies Scientificpublications beyond the topic of the doctoral thesis Germanlanguage skills Responsibilities and duties : You will be employedto work independently on research topics in the field of additivemanufacturing of powder-based metallic and intermetallic materials.Your work will focus either on material or process development. Youwill be jointly responsible for the expansion and maintenance ofthe laboratory equipment, take on organizational tasks, regularlytake part in meetings and actively exchange ideas with partners.Other tasks that await you are Documentation, publication andpresentation of scientific research results Creative developmentand pursuit of new research approaches through to the submission ofproposals Interdisciplinary collaboration in our international teamParticipation in teaching (in the amount of 4 LVS) We offerflexible working hours, a pleasant working atmosphere in amotivated team and close scientific supervision, and will supportyou in achieving your further goals.
