Job Overview
The US Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA) is currently involved with overseeing the design, construction, and outfitting of military medical facilities throughout the world. Localized field offices have been established in areas with significant workloads to warrant placing these positions on-site. USAMMA requires facility management and project management support to include sustainment, restoration, and modernization activities of existing facilities, issuance of work orders, design support, coordination of work with the directorate of public works, initial outfitting and transition coordination, and planning, purchasing, and provisioning of these facilities. The USAMMA manages the medical component of the Army’s prepositioned stock (APS) program worldwide and establishes medical APS warehouses to safely store and maintain the geographically positioned APS material and equipment. There are a multitude of medical facility and warehouse-related projects valued in the millions of dollars planned and ongoing for the European and Asia Theater to support the USAMMA APS program. Travel to these sites during the period of performance is anticipated.
Qualifications
Must provide verification of at least two years of construction project management experience.Must provide verification of at least three years of experience with medical logistic management.Requires technical knowledge and applicability of laws, regulations, policies, methods, and procedures affecting Army health facility and medical warehouse construction.Knowledge of general principles of architecture, engineering, design, construction, and project management; medical-functional and medical building system components and their interrelationships; applicable government industry, and accreditation standards and criteria (including space planning, life safety, antiterrorism, indoor air quality, patient privacy, sustainability, and others related to healthcare facilities); DoD and Army construction policies and procedures, including contracting functions, quality assurance, risk management; organizations relevant to health facility operations and construction; computer programs and tools that speed and improve project execution; data, documentation use, and management to include drawings, specifications, schedules, and estimates.Should be familiar with product material safety data sheets and hazardous mat storage environmental requirements.Must have working knowledge of the following : Microsoft Office programs : Project, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook.Responsibilities
Provides services as a facility manager and for the project management team providing consultation and advice to Government personnel tasked to support of USAMMA medical facilities life cycle management program and assist with multiple USAMMA medical APS warehouse projects as required.Scope shall cover support for USAMMA projects at multiple sites.The professional and technical services will incorporate the contractor’s expertise in US Army health facility planning, project management, construction management, space management, facility management, initial outfitting and transition (IO&T) management, total building commissioning (TBCx), operations and maintenance, safety data sheet development for USAMMA sites, construction meeting participation and the application of U.S. building codes and standards, DoD and Army Regulations, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), host nation environmental and occupational health standards, environment regulations, and other regulatory and medical standards.APPLICATION PROCESS
