As a Network Engineer, you will work on the Global Infrastructure and Networking team to ensure the functional network operations and security of our global network. You will design, implement, and support network and security technologies to solve large, strategic problems, transforming these complex problems into simple solutions. You will support the evaluation and define network and security policies and controls; manage network and security infrastructure; detect and respond to network and security events; and resolve complex operational issues in production through improvements to designs, software, and processes.
This role requires experience in network engineering and operations of large-scale enterprise networks, including LAN, SDWAN, WLAN, WAN, Cloud, and Datacenter, as well as experience in developing and operating security systems and applications to defend the network infrastructure against cyber threats—protecting data, applications, devices, and systems connected to the network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provides Global Network Service Delivery support, working with internal service teams and external service providers’ resources to provide effective IT services.
- Supports network installation and / or upgrade project, assigns milestone tasks to support personnel and meets company deadlines for full implementation, including network and installation of all software and end-user security.
- Support the design of data, voice, and video network infrastructure, including operational, business, SDWAN, LAN, WAN, internet, and Security services.
- Supports design, implement, and support secure solutions for on-prem and cloud network infrastructures, defining and developing automations to enable large-scale deployments and operations.
- Supports and optimizes LAN and WAN infrastructure services, including SDWAN controllers, routers, switches, virtual and cloud networking components, wireless access points and controllers, voice and video telecommunications systems, security devices, and other associated devices.
- Experience in major incident management and security incident response.
- Support with cloud networking (Azure), Network Security, SDWAN, LAN Segmentation, Zero Trust, and Secure service edge services.
- Partners with our IT Business Relationship Management team to deliver value to the business through our IT operating model, common standards and processes.
- Support with firewall design and network security, including Device Hardening, intrusion detection systems and intrusion prevention systems, SIEM, Firewalls, vulnerability assessment, and intrusion detection
- Works collaboratively across Infrastructure Services, Business Relationship Managers, and Engineering teams supporting, and implementing Cloud-native and over the top networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Oversee incident management at a regional and site level to provide status communication to IT and business leadership, conduct root cause analysis, and develop follow-up actions.
- Manage and deliver new innovative capabilities to align IT to meet business needs.
- Manages and monitors network performance and asset inventory, utilizing network management tools and following industry best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, related field, or equivalent work experience5 years of experience in networking, 5 years of experience in network security in organizations with complex networks, 5 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting networks and security systemsExperience in routing, switching and network security technologies and protocolsStrong understanding of all IT disciplines and interdependenciesStrong leadership skills with intercultural teamsAbility to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities.Extensive experience in the field of IT service organizations (ITIL) and project delivery frameworksKnowledge and experience with IT controls and governance.
