For our IT service provider Deutsche Rentenversicherung NOW IT GmbH, we are looking for a new member to join our Infrastructure Services division in the Printing Competence Center (KC), Carrier Printing Team at our Düsseldorf site as soon as possible.

System Administrator for Document Production (f/m/d) in pay grade 11 TV-TgDRV

Fixed-term for 2 years.

The Printing Competence Center and the Carrier Printing Team are responsible for the production of all central and in-house print output. They operate, monitor, and maintain all production machines. In addition to high-performance printing and enveloping machines, they operate machines for individual printing and the processing of printed products such as magazines, posters, etc. with the corresponding finishing systems (binding machines, etc.).

As a system administrator, you will support us in the following areas, among others:

• Participation in the design, development, and production of campaigns for, among other things, the recruiting measures of the houses and NOW IT
• Preparing form letters according to customer requirements, including designing inserts and flyers.
• Preparing and providing all electronic documents from clients for further processing by the printing department through data analysis, creating the workflow, and configuring and integrating the individually required software.
• Design, development, and maintenance of software solutions for document monitoring.
• Server and system administration of all hardware and software used for the tasks.
• Implementation of all necessary backup and fallback scenarios in accordance with DAIT and GAIT and ensuring data and further processing.
• Management of projects or sub-projects. Ensuring the implementation of customer requirements in accordance with economic considerations. Due to shift work, you will have technical authority over all administrators and machine operators in KC Printing and Team Carrier Printing.

  Your qualifications:

  Ideally, you have a degree in media design or, alternatively, computer science with knowledge of media design at level 6 of the German Qualifications Framework or a comparable professional qualification with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

  In addition to the relevant qualification at DQR 6 level with the above-mentioned requirements, you can demonstrate at least 2 years of professional experience in the areas of backup and fallback scenarios in accordance with KRITIS and BSI standards, contract design, and rough cost estimates for customers in project work or in sub-projects on the subject of recruiting. These may be included in the above-mentioned 3 years of professional experience.

  In addition, we would like you to have:

  • In-depth experience in data protection and data security
  • Experience in the application and development of corporate design guidelines, media design, and color theory
  • Specialized knowledge of print preparation and shipment tracking
  • Knowledge of print spooling systems such as VPS/X or PRISMA
  • Knowledge of the programming and scripting languages Linux, Java, MAC-OS/X, and Windows
  • Knowledge of company-specific systems (preferably from S.E.T., Canon, Xerox, Adobe, Apple)
  • Knowledge of MySQL and Oracle databases
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • Knowledge of cost-benefit analysis
  • Knowledge of project management
