ECO Design Fire&Smoke miscellaneous ENG support

Purpose of the Job

In charge of Ecodesign and Fire & Smoke for tenders & projects

Feed the Environmental Management System (ISO14001 with ecodesign input and activities

Manage & improve environmental performance of products

Manage Weight of the products for tenders and projects

Performance

Ecodesign activities on Tenders & Project. On Time Delivery and Customers satisfaction

Ecodesign product performance reported in Ecodesign dashboard

Fire & Smoke project planning

Fire & smoke product development specifications

Inputs for Project Safety Design Reviews on time and documented.

Responsibilities

Definition of requirements for Ecodesign and Fire & Smoke in the projects.

Verification of suppliers deliverables / certificates for Ecodesign and Fire & Smoke.

Preparation of reports / documentation according to QCD and Ecodesign / Fire & Smoke processes

Support the team to achieve authorization.

Database maintenance to store the evidence.

Contribute to the local Ecodesign commitment definition and deployment.

Support ISO 14001 certification.

Launch and followup of the project KPI regarding Ecodesign and fire & smoke.

Deployment of RSC processes

Inform the unit organization about Ecodesign and fire & smoke processes and their changes.

Continuous improvements in Ecodesign and fire & smoke processes.

Support of CCN activities (Alstom expert network).

Tasks : ECO Design and Hazardous substances

Recyclability calculation

LCA (Life cycle analysis)

Validate requirements (legal and customer)

Define project specific requirement and distribute in ENG.

Add Requirement to the parts (e.g. GRemark) support

Download BOM from PDM / DMA and add into ENGRSCENXSFRM0018A. support

Set up MaDaM support

Continuously update BOM during design stage. support

Add information from SQP and Proc. into ENGRSCENXSFRM0018A. support

Validate ENGFRM001 support

Upload ENGFRM001 in MaDaM support

Create ENGFRM005

EHSSGEMNL001 with Ecodesign Process ECOPRO001 and the related / linked processes

Tasks : Fire&Smoke Safety

Validate requirements (legal and customer)

Define project specific requirement and distribute in ENG.

Derive part requirements

Add Requirement to the parts (e.g. GRemark) support

Create a list of all Fire & Smoke relevant parts support

Validate Certificates support

Upload Certificate in MaDaM (when available) support

Create FCIL support for projects and platforms

Create list per project of all parts with unvalid certificates and sent to Q support

Create list per project of all parts with a certificate validity of less than 1 month and sent to Proc. support

Provide Trainings for all relevant Metiers on Fire Safety Standards and Specifications

Drive and sharpen the EN455452 implementation strategy (e.g. for RTM parts). Strong interface with experts (e.g. Suspension)

Support on definition of test samples also related to enduse condition testing

Contribute to standardization groups at least Alstom internally (to influence future standards)

Link to CCN (e.g. for Materials)

Tasks : Weight Management

Support PrEMs to create and deliver the Weight Management Reports in Time and Alstom Process Quality.

Support Product ENGs (Platforms)

Spread the ALSTOM Processes to the Products and Projects

Interface to TD Weight Management Metier

Experience

Ecodesign Engineer / Material Engineer with environmental experience / Mechanical Engineer with material and evironmental experience

Technical background in the railway industry and / or in fire protection or comparable industrial sectors.

Knowledge of international standards and guidelines regarding
