Opera Lab Berlin is looking for a talented transgender vocalist to join their upcoming project, "WHO IS WENDY?". This performance draws inspiration from Wendy Carlos, a trailblazer in electronic music, and seeks to push the boundaries of sound and identity. The role involves integrating electronic and natural vocal elements, working alongside a diverse team of dancers, musicians, and other artists to create a unique and forward-thinking ideal candidate will have experience in electronic and experimental music, with a strong ability to blend synthesized sounds with vocal performance. Collaborative spirit and a willingness to explore new artistic methods are key. This project is not just a tribute to Carlos’s groundbreaking work but also an exploration of the broader concept of transformation in art, inviting audiences to experience a fresh perspective on electronic music and performance. Rehearsals will take place from December to January, with performances scheduled for late January.
