As we continue to expand,we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer(COO) to lead and optimise our laboratoryoperations.

PositionSummary

The COO will play a pivotal role in thestrategic and operational leadership of fluidXlab. Reportingdirectly to the CEO, the COO will be responsible for overseeing thecompany’s daily operations, with a strong focus on staffleadership, project management, and client communication. The idealcandidate will be a results-driven leader with a passion forexcellence and a track record of enhancing operational efficiencyin a laboratory or similar environment.

KeyResponsibilities

OperationalLeadership

  • Oversee theday-to-day operations to ensure seamless and efficient servicedelivery.
  • Develop and implement operationalpolicies and procedures to optimise laboratoryperformance.
  • Monitor and evaluate theperformance of operational units, adjusting as necessary to improveoutcomes.

StaffDevelopment

  • Foster acollaborative work environment that encourages professional growthand development.
  • Implement training programs toenhance the skills and knowledge of laboratorystaff.
  • Mentor and guide team leaders, helpingthem achieve their potential and contribute to the overall successof the company.
  • ProjectManagement

  • Lead andmanage multiple laboratory projects from initiation to completion,ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and withinbudget.
  • Develop project plans, allocateresources, and set priorities to meet projectobjectives.
  • Implement project management bestpractices and tools to improve project delivery and clientsatisfaction.
  • ClientCommunication and RelationshipManagement

  • Act as a keypoint of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are understoodand met with the highest level ofservice.
  • Build and maintain strongrelationships with existing and potential clients, enhancing clienttrust and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with thesales and business development team to develop strategies forclient acquisition andretention.
  • StrategicPlanning andExecution

  • Work closelywith the executive team to develop and implement the company’sstrategic goals.
  • Identify opportunities forgrowth and improvement, and develop plans to capitalise onthem.
  • Lead initiatives that drive innovation,efficiency, and competitive advantage.
  • Monitoroperational expenses and identify opportunities for costoptimisation.
  • Complianceand QualityAssurance

  • Ensure alllaboratory operations comply with relevant regulations, standards,and best practices.
  • Implement quality assuranceprograms to maintain the highest standards of accuracy andreliability in laboratory results.
  • Stayup-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, andtechnologicaladvancements.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimumof 5 years of experience in a management role, preferably in alaboratory or operational environment working on CSS / CCUS orhydrogen storage topics.
  • Proven experience instaff development, project management, andcommunication.
  • Strong leadership skills withthe ability to inspire and motivateteams.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical,and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonalskills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multipleprojects and priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Familiarity with laboratoryoperations, quality standards, and compliancerequirements.
