Director, Credit Risk (Project Manager)

Our client, a Global Bank, is currently recruiting a Director for their Credit Risk team in Frankfurt.

Role Responsibilities :

Regulatory Compliance & Supervision : Ensure credit risk frameworks and submissions comply with ECB and BaFin standards, maintaining active engagement with regulators and tracking regulatory developments.

Credit Risk Framework Development : Design and enhance risk frameworks aligned with global and local regulatory expectations, collaborating with UK and Tokyo teams to tailor policies.

Credit & Underwriting Activities : Assess and approve credit transactions within authority limits, providing expert analysis of credit applications.

Regulatory Inspections & Audits : Lead preparation for regulatory reviews, address findings, and implement corrective actions while coordinating internal communications.

Project & Stakeholder Management : Oversee credit risk initiatives ensuring regulatory alignment and coordinate with internal teams to maintain compliance.

System & Data Governance : Collaborate with IT and risk data teams to enhance systems for compliance with risk frameworks and standards.

ESG Risk Integration : Embed ESG factors into credit assessments and reporting processes in collaboration with global teams.

Internal & External Communication : Maintain regulator relationships, keep senior stakeholders informed, and lead training on ECB and BaFin regulatory frameworks.
