Field of activity

In the Database Management department, we are responsible for the database landscape of the German Pension Insurance Data Center (RZ DRV).

We plan, provide and maintain the databases on various standardized platforms for a large number of our customers' applications.

As a central component of the IT architecture, we play an important role in enabling the smooth processing of pension and rehabilitation processes.

We are looking forward to welcoming new colleagues to the Database Transition team in Berlin or Würzburg.

Your tasks

• You install, configure and administer MS SQL Server databases
• You will plan, design and document the database landscape for our internal and external customers (pension insurance providers)
• You will lead and work on IT projects
• You program tools / scripts to automate tasks and manage Windows Server administration including rights and role concepts, group policies, NTFS, registry and services
• You supervise and initiate lab and test setups

Your profile

• You have successfully completed a university education (Bachelor / Diploma / FH) in the field of IT or a successful completion of a comparable IT qualification or a successful completion of an IT specialist training with a focus on databases or comparable practical experience in the IT field
• You have several years of practical experience in the database sector
• You would describe yourself as an expert in SQL Server administration and have in-depth knowledge of the installation, administration and configuration of the IT systems in your area of responsibility, especially MS SQL Server and the associated software, protocols and standards
• You have good knowledge of Windows Server administration including rights and role concepts, group policies, NTFS, registry and services
• In addition, you have knowledge and experience in dealing with operating systems (Unix / Linux, Windows, Shell) as well as PowerShell scripting, T-SQL scripting and
• Experience with backup concepts and monitoring concepts and
• Experience with high availability solutions
• Your German language skills correspond to language level B2, we will be happy to support you in expanding your language skills in the future
