Senior DevOps Engineer
Oxygen Digital is partnering with one of Europe's leading eCommerce companies, based in the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany, as they expand their DevOps team.
We're looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in shaping the future of their data-driven infrastructure.
In this exciting role, you will focus on optimizing and managing the company's high-performing, data-intensive infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS environments, IaC with Terraform, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build, optimize, and manage data-intensive infrastructure to support business needs.
- Leverage IaC tools such as Terraform and implement GitOps practices to ensure scalable, automated, and secure infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including applications and data teams, to ensure seamless deployment and operational excellence.
- Mentor junior engineers, driving continuous improvement and enhancing team capabilities.
- Develop and implement logging and monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability.
- Lead the migration of on-premises applications to AWS, ensuring the correct architecture and services are selected.
- Maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, conducting root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
Technical Expertise :
- Extensive experience with AWS services and multi-account setups.
- Advanced skills in IaC using Terraform.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI / CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation and troubleshooting.
Cloud Security & Best Practices :
Expertise in cloud security, including IAM, VPC configurations, and data encryption.
Additional Skills :
Familiarity with MySQL, Apache Kafka, and Redis is a plus.
