Broadband Access Protocol Researcher (m / f / d)
Your mission
Develop Technical Directions into the Design of MAC for Wi-Fi and PON, including cross-layer coordinated scheduling algorithm, modules optimization, novel architecture to improve the network performances, including low latency, high bandwidth, roaming, and power saving, etc.
Lead the next generation on-premises network architecture and advanced technologies, including multi-AP coordination (such as Co-TDMA, Co-OFDMA,Co-SR, Co-BF, Joint transmission) using fibre backhauling, multi-link technology with integration of millimeter wave
Explore the innovative optical and wireless integration architecture and protocol, i.e. optical based Wi-Fi fronthauling
Your areas of expertise
Ph.D Degree in Computer Science, Optical communication, Wireless Communication, Electrical Engineering or related field required
More than 5 years working experience on advanced technologies in Wi-Fi or optical communication area, with successful designs / optimizations / implementation of MAC modules, or architecture
Be familiar with Wi-Fi MAC algorithms, including access control, roaming management, air interface contention management, queue management, flow control, and / or interference optimization at the MAC layer
Knowledge of the PON protocol or dynamic bandwidth assignment is a plus
Solid understanding on IEEE .11 Wi-Fi protocols and its implementations
Long term observation with solid analyses to the advanced on-premises networking technologies and their trends
Proficient in at least one of the following advance programming languages : C, C++, Python, Matlab
