Optimus Search has recently partnered with a universally recognised broadband, audio / video and smart grid solutions client. They have roots in Europe and have recently climbed to be multi-billion-euro company. Since its inception in the late 2000s, they have climbed from strength to strength and have continuously been profitable.

Our client also offers an extremely unique opportunity for its employees where over a quarter of the company is actually owned by its own employees!

My client requires a motivated and talented field application engineer with a focus on Embedded Linux. This position is a client-facing role so you will be required to have effective communication skills. The successful candidate must be able to have deep knowledge of our client’s products and services and be able to analyse customer technical requirements and be able to provide detailed solutions.

The position is mainly based in Darmstadt but there will be some requirements to travel to my client’s other site based in Frankfurt.

Responsibilities

• Be able to understand a customer’s needs and be able to provide accurate technical solutions
• Documentation to be completed to a high standard
• Programming with Embedded Linux when required
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customer accounts
• Provide lab demonstrations and technical presentations
