As the Team Lead IT Supplier Management, you will report into the Head of IT Procurement & Supplier Management within Indirect Procurement and be responsible for approximately seven (Senior) Supplier Managers in the areas of IT / OT contract, performance, relationship and risk management. This exciting opportunity for a motivated colleague within the refreshed IT / OT Procurement team will give you the direct opportunity to manage, mentor and develop a global team, implement continuous improvement and contribute to innovative projects across all of RWE's OpCos globally.

The role

  • Taking E2E accountability for developing and enforcing effective and scalable Supplier Management governance across our IT / OT Strategic Partners and Major Suppliers
  • Provide leadership and set the strategic direction and vision of your team in alignment with the strategic and operational guidelines of the IT / OT and Procurement organisations
  • Shaping, motivating, guiding and representing your international team
  • Acting as a sparring's partner for your team to develop, assess, trial and implement new Supplier Mangement strategies, practises and tools
  • Planning, delivering and tracking strategic initiatives that support business growth, cost reduction and value creation for RWE OpCos
  • Implement standardisation and automation wherever possible, in order to increase our supplier coverage of Supplier Management function
  • Introduce Self Service of Financial Reporting in PowerBI
  • Ensuring closest collaboration with IT / OT and other Procurement and cross-functional teams

Jon requirements & experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience in a complex international- and remote environment
  • Effective experience in overseeing and developing a team in the management of vendors / third parties, including, but not limited to, policies, performance, vendor risk, relationships, contracts and issue and dispute resolution
  • Broad knowledge of the IT / Tech industry and the products and services provided by technology vendors
  • Strategic Procurement experience and an appreciation of P2P processes
  • Solid grasp of financial and negotiation concepts in order to coach and upskill your team on an ongoing basis
  • Affinity with relevant tools for automation and digitialisation of your processes (Office, SAP, Ariba, PowerBI etc)
  • Willingness to travel to our operational / office sites and key suppliers
  • Fluent in English and fluency in German preferred
