We seek to fill the position of
Associate - Communications and Events (gn)
part-time (20 hours per week), starting date : ideally 01 August 2024 or as soon as thereafter.
The Communications and Events Associate will play a vital role in supporting the activities of the Data Science Lab. This position involves organizing events, managing communications, handling project administration, and assisting with daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and event management skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
The successful candidate should have experience in event organisation and promotion; as well as being able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to create content for a range of purposes, styles, and audiences. They will ideally also have some experience in editing webpages and using a content management system (CMS).
The Hertie School Data Science Lab works on a variety of projects in data science to tackle major societal problems. Our mission is to advance research and training in data science and AI to enable better data-informed decision-making for the benefit of the individual, government, and society. We also organise regular data science events.
