The Compliance Program Manager (d / f / m) will play an important role indeveloping and managing key elements of our global complianceprogram at Leica. This role is responsible for continuouslyimproving compliance systems, procedures and controls to assureadherence to legal and regulatory requirements and fostering aculture of ethical business practices. This role will overseecompliance programs and projects, including third party duediligence management, developing and implementing policies andprocedures, training and communications, compliance monitoring andremediation and establishing key performance indicators andmanagement reportingprocesses.
The Compliance Program Manager (d / f / m) willperform a wide variety of hands-on Compliance work, businessadvisory as well as Compliance program development. The holder ofthe position reports directly to Leica’s Global Compliance Director located in Wetzlar or Mannheim andwill be on-site role. It is a temporary role to cover maternityleave, with a duration of 18months.
Inthis role, you will have the opportunityto :
Develop,implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, andstandards, ensuring they are up to date with current laws,regulations, and industry bestpractices;
Stay informedabout changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact onthe organization; oversee regular risk assessment processes toidentify potential compliance issues and areas for improvement,develop and implement strategies to mitigate compliance risks, andmonitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance controls andinitiatives.
Furtherdevelopment of Leica’s compliance monitoring and auditing programto assess compliance with policies andregulations.
Promoteawareness of compliance issues and foster a culture of ethicalbehaviour through compliance training and awarenessprograms.
Oversee complianceaspects of third-party business partner management and conduct duediligence and ensure third parties adhere to the company'scompliancestandards.
Theessential requirements of the jobinclude :
Atleast 5 years of global compliance experience in life sciences,health care, and / or other highly regulatedindustries.
Business minded.A positive, energetic, self-motivated personality, able to explaincomplex compliance topics to business leaders with varying degreesof sophistication about compliance matters; able to take businessleaders’ concerns and demands into account in how best to pursuecompliant strategies. Intelligent and articulate with excellentwritten and verbal communication skills; nimble and quick-minded;able and willing to engage indebate.
A team player whocan command the respect of, and influence, business leaders acrossa wide spectrum of experience andsophistication.
Highintegrity and ethics in all dealings – internal, external andpersonal; non-political in conduct, while understanding internaland external dynamics. Able to refuse to accept, and to correctunethical conduct or outcomes that threaten thebusiness.
Excellent writtenand oral communication skills with a wide variety of audiences,including senior management and a proven ability to engage,influence and align with multiplestakeholders.
Fluency inEnglish.
