The Company

Our client is a leading provider of innovative instore merchandising and communication solutions in Europe. With a global presence and many years of experience, our client can create an attractive and sales-boosting in-store environment for its retail clients, making shopping an enjoyable experience for the end customer.

To further drive the growth and expansion of the business in Germany, our client is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager Germany (gn)

LOCATION : flexible

REPORTING LINE : Area Director, Germany & Switzerland

The Role

  • Scan the market to identify customer segments and specific customers with high potential
  • Help the sales organisation to understand customer needs and tailor the company’s offer, based on the standard products, Key Growth Pillars and custom made solutions
  • Help plan sales campaigns for priority customers and segments
  • Provide input for planning, budgeting and business review activities
  • Build relationships to generate new leads or improve relationships to high potential existing customers
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow the business
  • Identify and present new business or marketing opportunities to the local and group leadership teams
  • Cooperate with the local and area network within the company and its partners to share knowledge and develop cross regional campaigns

The Profile

  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing or engineering
  • Proven business development, sales and / or marketing experience with an existing network within the German retail landscape
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with solution selling, or consultative / insight-based sales techniques, and a strong hunter’ mindset
