Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled manager to lead our Data Ingestion & Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Big Data frameworks and platforms, with a focus on Scala programming with Spark, AWS, and cloud DevOps.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of data ingestion and processing pipelines using Big Data frameworks and platforms.
- Collaborate with IT team, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to maintain and deploy applications.
- Automate and streamline operations and processes; build and maintain tools for integration, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Create and maintain data pipelines for data collection, processing, and storage.
- Ensure smooth data flow and integration with autonomous driving systems and features.
- Improve data management systems through monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data management and pipeline.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other teams.
- Use data mining / data analysis methods to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data management systems and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data management, machine learning, and data analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Manage budget requests and payments for activities executed externally.
- Manage technical conversations with suppliers.
Basic Qualifications :
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in data management, data analytics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with Big Data frameworks and platforms, including Spark, Hadoop, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, SQL, and scientific programming with Python.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, EKS, Ansible, Jenkins, Maven, and CI / CD frameworks.
- Proficiency with software engineering principles and experience designing data models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and interface with suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with AWS services such as Elastic Search, S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lambda, and ADDF platform.
- Strong experience using data mining / data analysis methods and building models.
- Experience in the Hadoop ecosystem and software development using Scala, Python, Java.
- Knowledge of build systems such as Maven, Bazel, or CMake.
- Experience with Docker and OpenShift / Kubernetes.
- Background in data analytics and experience working within an AGILE or Scrum framework.
Additional Skills :
- Experience with Airflow, AngularJS, and REST Framework.
- High level of technical problem-solving ability.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
