Your mission

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Simulations & Optimization Engineer combining software development skills, domain knowledge, and a strong understanding of simulation techniques, to join our dynamic and innovative team.

As a Simulations & Optimization Engineer you will be a key player in designing, developing, and implementing mathematical models and simulations software to accurately represent and enhance the performance and efficiency of our satellite constellation.

You will use your expertise in optimization techniques to drive improvements and solve challenging engineering problems.

This includes :

• Software Development : Develop, implement, and maintain simulation software applications. This involves writing code, designing algorithms, and ensuring that the software meets the required specifications and performance criteria.
• Modeling and Simulation : Work with domain experts to understand the underlying systems or processes that need to be simulated;

create mathematical models and algorithms to accurately represent the behavior of the system.

Optimization : Optimize simulation software for performance, ensuring that it can handle large-scale simulations efficiently;

apply optimization techniques to improve the performance of systems or processes. This may involve finding the best configuration, parameter values, or decision variables to achieve desired outcomes.

Data Analysis : Analyze data generated from simulations to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, and make informed recommendations for system improvement;

support implementation of advanced analytical decision support tools.

• Collaboration : Work closely with different teams to gather requirements and ensure the successful integration of simulation solutions.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on advancements in simulation techniques, software development methodologies, and industry best practices;

implement improvements and updates to the simulation software as needed.

• Documentation : Maintain thorough documentation of models, simulations, and optimization procedures for future reference and replication.
• Leadership : Mentor and guide junior members of the team.

What you bring on the table

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on simulation applications
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, etc.
• Strong understanding of mathematical modeling, simulation techniques, and algorithms
• Experience with user interface design for simulation software applications
• Familiarity with data integration and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and spoken English

About us

Rivada Space Networks is deploying the first true OuterNET™ : a global low latency point-to-point connectivity network of LEO satellites.

By connecting our satellites with lasers, we will provide resellers and B2B customers with the ability to securely connect any two points on the globe with low latency and high bandwidth.

The constellations, comprising 600 low-earth-orbit communications satellites, will represent a fundamental change in the availability of secure, global, end-to-end enterprise-grade connectivity for Telecom, Enterprise, Maritime, Energy and Government Services markets.

Rivada Space Networks is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rivada Networks, Inc.

Rivada is working with Terran Orbital to manufacture and SpaceX to launch our satellites. The deployment starts in 2025 with full-service launch in 2026.
