Senior IT System Engineer

My client is a leading provider of integrated logistics solutions, offering transport services across Europe. As part of their continuous expansion, they are looking for a Senior IT System Engineer to strengthen their IT Support & Project Services team at our headquarters in Luxembourg.

Your Role

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure , spanning two datacenters in Luxembourg and 20 remote sites across Europe, serving over 1,000 users .

Operations

  • Provide support for critical incidents and analyze root causes.
  • Work closely with vendors and IT teams to resolve issues.
  • Oversee and manage all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Automate tasks through scripting to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure data security against internal and external threats.

Project & Change Management

  • Design, test, and implement hardware / software configurations in collaboration with the CTO.
  • Lead IT projects and ensure smooth execution.
  • Ensure compliance with operational requirements and assist third-party providers.
  • Monitor software licensing to ensure legal compliance.

    • Your Profile

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • University degree in IT or related field .
  • Strong technical expertise in :
  • Windows Server, AD, Exchange, SQL Server
  • Linux RedHat, HP-UX
  • Cloud (Azure, Office 365)
  • Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, Citrix, RDS)
  • Monitoring tools (SCOM, SCCM, Zabbix, Commvault)
  • Security & Networking (Firewall, Load balancing, WLAN, Switches)
  • Fluent in English .
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, sense of responsibility, and ability to perform under pressure.
