Your role
The successful PhD candidate will be an integral member of the Computational Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering (COMPSOIL) research group led by Prof. Arash Lavasan.
The candidate will focus on the assessment of the thermo-hydromechanical behaviour of geomaterials in the context of the resilient-base design of geo-structures under the impact of climate change actions. The project includes characterisation of the THM material behaviour and performing large scaled laboratory tests to study the impact of climate aspects on the soil-structure interactions. The yearly gross salary for every PhD at the UL is EUR 40952 (full time).
