Our client, a leading global provider of additives, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Head of Product Stewardship to spearhead their regulatory efforts.
In this pivotal role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring their products meet the strictest global standards, paving the way for successful market access worldwide.
What you’ll do :
- Lead a dynamic Marketability & Compliance team, providing expert guidance and direction.
- Oversee the entire regulatory market access process for the company’s products, establishing clear decision-making frameworks.
- Navigate the complexities of chemical registration (EU-Reach, KKDIK, UK-Reach, etc.) and develop strategic testing plans.
- Conduct and evaluate risk assessments for the company’s products, ensuring their safety and compliance.
- Manage commissioned external studies and associated budgets, maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Track and report material volumes for production and imports across all relevant jurisdictions.
- Champion the company’s preparedness for upcoming regulations, including Polymer REACH.
- Proactively monitor emerging regulations and define effective strategies for implementation.
- Foster strong collaboration with the customs and export control department.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with global customers, providing clear communication on regulatory matters.
- Coordinate with external consultants, ensuring seamless alignment with internal goals.
- Represent the company in trade association committees, advocating for the industry.
- Serve as a trusted liaison with competent authorities, effectively representing the company’s interests.
Who you are :
- Hold a university degree in chemistry, with a strong background in polymer chemistry is a plus.
- Possess a deep understanding of European regulations and REACH-like frameworks globally.
- Bring at least 10 years of proven experience within a Regulatory Affairs environment.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of an ERP system, preferably SAP.
- Fluently speak and write English and German, excelling in both written and verbal communication.
- Possess exceptional communication skills, adept at engaging with internal stakeholders, consultants, and authorities.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, showcasing strong analytical and time management capabilities.
- Work independently and effectively under pressure, consistently meeting deadlines.
