Senior Solutions Architect

Venquis currently has a permanent opportunity for an experienced (Senior) AWS Solutions Architect to join a partnered consultancy and support their innovative, exciting, and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities :

Cloud Architecture and Design :

• Design and implement robust AWS cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
• Create architectural diagrams and documentation for proposed solutions.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.

Implementation and Deployment :

• Lead the deployment of AWS infrastructure using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Automate deployment processes and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Oversee the migration of applications and data to the AWS cloud.

Security and Compliance :

• Implement and manage AWS security best practices, including IAM, VPC, and security groups.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

Performance Optimization :

• Monitor AWS environments for performance and cost efficiency.
• Optimize resource utilization to improve system performance and reduce costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

Collaboration and Support :

• Work closely with development teams to integrate AWS services into applications.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops on AWS best practices.

Continuous Improvement :

• Stay updated with the latest AWS services and technologies.
• Evaluate and recommend new AWS tools and services to enhance our cloud environment.
• Continuously improve and refine cloud architecture and processes.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AWS Solutions Architect or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services and architecture, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage solutions on AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) certification is highly desirable.
• Must be proficient in both German and English
