KG Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Project Entity Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Project Engineering Manager (f / m / d), you are responsible for all Engineering fields in an offer or execution project for an HVDC station. Leading a diverse team of engineers with expertise in electrical, plant layout, mechanical, civil, process, controls and instrumentation.After aligning within the Project Management Team, including the General Project Manager and Commercial Project Manager, you engage in a vital discussion with the customer's engineering consultant and your team to refine and clarify project specifics.Following this, you guide your international engineering team and partners through a design and scope review, ensuring detailed coordination between fields and compliance with project requirements. You also conduct individual meetings with team members to address scope, schedule, and cost considerations.The day wraps up with a productive discussion with Site Management, setting the focus for your upcoming Site visit next month. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support energy transformation initiatives, encompassing High Voltage Alternate / Direct Current (HVAC / HVDC) projects on a global scale. Pivotal projects in advancing our planet's decarbonization efforts
- Craft the future of energy through engagements with external partners (customers, consultants, authorities, suppliers) and internal collaborators, primarily focusing on technical matters
- Lead, integrate, and mentor the Engineering team, comprising diverse engineering fields (, electrical, controls & instrumentation, process, mechanical, civil, plant layout, etc.), is critical for building a cohesive team and pursuing common objectives in bid or execution projects
- Effectively handle engineering-related risks and opportunities and adhere to technical contract execution and documentation requirements
What You Bring
University degree, preferably within the field of electrical engineering and with demonstrated ability in related Engineering fields from the power generation, power transmission, power distribution and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) market5 years of experience in overall technical project management, preferably including site and commissioning experienceCustomer focus : capability of changing perspectives and adapting strategies and actions to meet the needs of the dynamic environmentAbility to lead an international, globally dispersed Engineering team to achieve the highest performance resultsFlexibility and willingness to be present for limited periods on sites, at customers and 3rd parties around the globe as per project needs
