Major responsibilities :
- Implement, maintain and self-support basic links definitions on Amadeus communication platforms. Learn to implement complex links definition with support from experienced colleagues
- General knowledge on how to operate software and troubleshooting tools in mixed environment (Linux, Unix and Windows) and willingness to further learn the support on any of these systems
- Support and learn from experienced colleagues on how to implement Amadeus technical projects in close cooperation with the Project Office, Development and the other relevant groups within Operations
- Support, update and maintain internal documentation and databases that are shared between all Amadeus operational sites
- Provide 3rd level support for basic communication related issues to help incident recovery and problem solving during office hours
- Support the implementation of improvement initiatives and corrective actions
- Provide, update and maintain standard inter-connectivity relevant documentation for internal usage (ICP documents and alike)
- Learn the differences on various technical connectivity information and what is required depending on the request of the customer and provider
Qualifications : Education
Education
University degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
Know How / Skills
- General understanding of TCP and UDP transport protocols as well as the Internet Protocol Suite
- General end-to-end communication problem analysis skills
- Good knowledge of at least two the communication protocols used in application-to-application or B2B messaging like Edifact, XML, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, Telnet, FTP, etc
- General understanding of Linux
- General knowledge of the ITIL best practices is a plus
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work in virtual and remote teams effectively
- Ability to program in one programming / scripting language such as Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell a plus.
- Willingness to learn from other team members and enhance experience in any of the required systems and processes
