(Senior) DevOps Engineer (all genders)
Your role
We are seeking an experienced (Senior) DevOps Engineer to support our development and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, cloud computing, and system automation.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our database systems, including PostgreSQL and MySQL, and managing our AWS cloud infrastructure.
This position requires a proactive individual who can efficiently solve problems, implement new solutions, and ensure the high availability and performance of our services.
- Manage AWS cloud services, including EC2, RDS, and Cloudfront, to support our development and production environments
- Be the first internal DevOps Engineer and support the e-commerce infrastructure in a fast growing direct-to-consumer business based on Debian, PHP, MySQL, Varnish, Redis and Docker
- Administer, monitor, and optimize PostgreSQL and MySQL databases to ensure high performance and availability
- Implement and maintain database backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with development teams to automate and streamline our operations and processes
- Ensure security best practices are followed within the cloud and database environments
- Participate in the planning and deployment of new features and infrastructure upgrades
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and >
3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of database administration for PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Experience with public cloud platforms and understanding of cloud architecture
- Familiarity with automation tools and CI / CD pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Speaking Russian is considered a plus
