We are pleased to represent our client, a top-tier manufacturer renowned for its innovative solutions and commitment to operational excellence.

To further enhance their Legal department, they are seeking a highly qualified Head of Investigations to take on a strategic leadership role, reporting directly to the General Counsel. This is a unique opportunity to join a respected and forward-thinking company, driving critical compliance initiatives on an international scale.

Your Responsibilities

As a Head of Investigations, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's integrity. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, your responsibilities will include :

  • Leading and managing a specialized team responsible for conducting internal investigations.
  • Developing and enhancing frameworks and protocols for investigations and compliance risk assessments.
  • Acting as the organization’s primary contact for authorities during investigations.
  • Overseeing the risk-based processing of reports and ensuring timely, thorough resolution of compliance matters.
  • Analyzing investigation outcomes to recommend and implement strategic measures.
  • Establishing and managing an efficient whistleblowing process.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership, including Internal Audit, to drive key projects and initiatives.
  • Supporting the General Counsel in reporting compliance investigation outcomes to the executive team and board.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will possess :

  • A legal education with two successfully completed state exams (German Zweites Staatsexamen ) or equivalent international qualification.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFE or LLM) are advantageous.
  • At least 6 years of experience in an auditing firm, international law firm, or multinational organization.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing projects and teams.
  • Expertise in forensic tools and a deep understanding of compliance best practices.
  • High professional and ethical standards with the ability to manage sensitive, confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%).
  • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems (SAP).
