Software Developer for Robotics

Required skills / knowledge

• Experience in programming with Python or C++
• Desirable is the experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS)
• Familiar with robotic background
• Strong motivation for technical field
• Ability to work independently and within groups

What will you be doing?

The group of Fraunhofer IPA is supporting the European ROS Industrial consortium. As such we aim to transfer the latest research of robotics into the manufacturing site. While doing so, we have a high focus on the Robot Operating System and see collaboration through Open Source software as an enabler for smart hardware components and complex system applications.

We provide you the possibility to develop software applications that are closely linked to practical use. Your work comprises involvement with libraries that are relevant for a worldwide community. The environment provided by the research groups and facilities is an excellent way to consolidate your academic knowledge and to expand your technical skills.
