Head of Procurement

Due to the growth of the business, they have had a brand new opportunity that has come up for their team in Germany. The position is for a Head of Procurement on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented leader with strong knowledge of purchasing processes and the medical equipment manufacturing industry. The company thrives due to its strong cultural foundation and its strive for greatness.

Responsibilities :

• Manage strategic sourcing processes incl. RFx.
• Active supplier management, especially in establishing and developing supplier relationships.
• Obtaining and evaluating offers, as well as negotiating purchasing and procurement conditions and contracts with suppliers in consultation with strategic purchasing and production planning.
• Optimization of coordination with the production plants as part of the regular S&OP and foster collaboration with R&D and Production.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify emerging risks and develop mitigation plans e.g. dual sourcing.
• Management and maintenance of purchasing / procurement data and documents.
• Leading the supply chain and procurement team.
• Establishing, implementing and further developing the international supply chain setup by creating more efficient E2E processes.
