We are looking for an experienced consultant to develop and strengthen our client’s IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies. This role involves assessing risks, planning response measures, and ensuring IT resilience against potential disruptions.
Main Responsibilities :
- BC&DR Strategy Development : Create, implement, and refine IT business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure they remain effective and aligned with industry standards.
- Risk Identification & Mitigation : Evaluate IT infrastructure to detect potential threats and weaknesses, proposing proactive solutions to reduce risks.
- Testing & Simulation Exercises : Conduct regular scenario-based testing and drills to validate the preparedness and efficiency of recovery procedures.
- Incident Response Coordination : Manage IT-related incidents and ensure rapid recovery with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Process Documentation : Keep detailed records of all BC&DR initiatives, including strategies, risk assessments, and post-incident reports.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Work closely with internal teams, business leaders, and external partners to ensure seamless integration of continuity strategies across the organization.
- Regulatory Adherence : Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry guidelines, and company policies related to IT resilience.
- Ongoing Improvement & Innovation : Stay informed about emerging threats, new technologies, and best practices to enhance business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Technical Expertise : Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, and cybersecurity principles.Risk Management : Experience in risk assessment methodologies and impact analysis.Incident Response & Crisis Management : Ability to handle high-pressure situations, coordinate response teams, and ensure quick recovery.Project Management : Proficiency in managing complex projects, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 22301, NIST, ITIL, and GDPR compliance.Communication & Collaboration : Strong ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, explain complex issues, and drive alignment.Analytical Thinking : Capability to assess risks, identify gaps, and propose effective solutions.Adaptability & Proactiveness : A continuous learning mindset to stay ahead of industry changes and emerging risks.
