Senior Python / JavaScript / TypeScript Developer

You’ll join a small, experienced team of four as a Senior Software Engineer working on a product in the financial industry. The role involves close collaboration with fellow engineers and the product team, working together on shared tasks while taking clear ownership of your own work. You’ll be supported by your teammates as you get set up, and you’ll contribute within a Scrum-based process that values transparency and teamwork. The work is fully remote, using hardware provided by the client, with fixed working hours and regular participation in team events to keep collaboration strong.

Preferred start date for this role is at the beginning of March.

Skills and Experience

Resides and holds an UK or EU Citizenship.

Proficient in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript

Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs

Skilled in developing both server-side and client-side web applications

Comfortable working with legacy monolithic codebases

Quick to learn new technologies and domains

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proactive self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Advocates for clean code principles and consistently aims to improve the codebase while maintaining a focus on timely delivery

Takes ownership of the quality of their work, ensuring it meets high standards before it is released

Experience working with financial software products is a plus!

Must be able to work UK office hours

Excellent command of English reading, writing and speaking

Must be comfortable working as a contractor
