Financial Accounting Intern / Working Student (f / m / d)

In this 4month internship or working student role you will work closely with our Finance team to assist with daily activities that keep our department running smoothly. You will be a key contributor in ensuring the accuracy of our books for the previous years. You will work closely with both our Finance and Leadership team contributing to meaningful projects and gaining valuable insights into financial processes in a dynamic startup environment. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance youll receive guidance and mentorship to help grow your skills.

You should be analytical organized and a team player with a keen eye for detail while also able to prioritize tasks effectively when facing finance deadlines. Integrity a practical cando mindset and strong communication skills are essential. Practical experience in bookkeeping is preferred and an accounting qualification is a plus.

Your responsibilities in a nutshell :

  • You will perform data cleansing on historical financial records particularly bank account data in the financial system.
  • You will manage bank reconciliation : compare bank statements address missing entries and reconcile with customer invoices.
  • You will oversee the accounts payable process : collect review record invoices with VAT codes and allocate to accounts and cost centers.
  • You will support the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • You will contribute to the implementation of a monthly reporting package.

Requirements

  • You have handson experience in accounting and bookkeeping (ideally).
  • Youre capable of taking accountability and making clear wellinformed decisions.
  • You have experience with ERP systems especially NetSuite (preferred).
  • Youre a selfstarter with high personal drive eager to contribute to rapid growth and unafraid to dive into the details.
  • You have fluency in English (knowledge of German is a plus!).
