Join our Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Global Regulatory Change and Controls (GRC&C) team, a part of the larger CIB Operations department. We oversee, lead, and manage the global CIB regulatory landscape, covering advocacy, regulatory change, the XODS strategic reporting program, and regulatory control framework. We're seeking a motivated Working Student (all genders) to join us in Frankfurt for 19 hours a week during the semester, full-time during breaks. The program lasts a year, and if you hold student status for a longer period than the initial offer, there might be a possibility to extend the contract for another year within a different team. Our team will guide you through the firm and help you learn about our businesses.

Job Summary :

As a Working Student within the Governance, Risk, Compliance and Controls (GRC&C) regulatory controls team, you will be tasked with providing control oversight, leadership, and management across a variety of cross-business regulatory obligations, as well as promoting the development of global strategic solutions for regulatory reporting. Your role will primarily focus on leading controls in Germany, offering opportunities to design strategic controls and operating models as required. You will be accountable for a significant number of deliverables, which are expected to deliver measurable value to the business and positively impact the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) regulatory reporting risk profile. This role offers extensive exposure to the CIB organization, with a wide range of cross-functional and cross-business deliverables. A key part of your role will be understanding operational risks in the process, new implementations, issues and events, and creating plans for remediation. This must be systematically delivered through an appropriate operating model.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Support the German / EMEA product owner and engage stakeholders from Operations, Compliance and other Control Officers
  • Support oversight over German / EMEA business regulatory reporting control framework to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory reporting obligations Proactively identify and escalate issues, risks and dependencies Develop and deploy a strong controls framework to ensure systematic compliance with obligations. Partner with technology to ensure the desired business solutions against challenging timeline Periodically review - Roles and Responsibilities- Policies and Standards- Risk and Control Assessment & Remediation- Report Testing Governance & Metrics
  • Support local German transaction regulatory reporting obligations
  • Support the manager of the team for well controlled regulatory environment and early escalations as necessary.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills :

  • Interest in learning technical understanding of the business and regulatory reporting obligations
  • Strategic and tactical approach to upcoming challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and communicate effectively and comfortably with key stakeholders

  • Ability to execute tasks under challenging targets and effectively manage changes in plan
  • Strong personal and relationship building skills
  • Fluent in German and English
