Main Purpose of the Role : Since1925, product has been at the heart of Le Creuset. As the Group NewProduct Development (NPD) Manager of the Core Cookware category,you are responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of NPDs inline with our manufacturing capabilities / partnerships andcommercial requirements. You will influence and achieve successthrough extensive collaboration with internal and externalpartners, and rigorous adherence to the process milestones and KPIsthat achieve results. New Product Development (NPD) Core Cookware (CC) ManagerKirchheim unter Teck Key Responsibilities : General management andcommunication of all new product development initiatives
- Partnerwith the Regional / Subsidiary lead Category Managers to identify theinitiatives that need to be incorporated into the development andmanufacturing pipeline.
- Ensure that all programs are accuratelyreflected and tracked against manufacturing capabilities andconstraints with respect for customer / and / or consumer launchdates.
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver the necessaryvalidation requirements for commercialization : e.g. packaging,health & safety, quality assurance certification, logisticsspecifications, legal, etc.
- Collaborate with the necessarymanufacturing and sourcing partners to initiate, track, and manageon-time project delivery.
- Deliver category specific colourdevelopment in line with lead brand colour standards that arecatalogued and consistently achieved throughout the production lifecycle.
- Ensure that all programs and market expectations alignwith LC Group financial requirements.
- Identify inter-categorymanufacturing / sourcing opportunities to deliver programs in linewith Le Creuset's sustainability mission.
- Continuously researchand identify the product innovation opportunities in manufacturingand vendor partners that will lead to superior product developmentsin line with our brand position. Optimization of the developmentprocess to achieve commercial objectives
- Support portfoliooptimization initiatives by coordinating with theregional / subsidiary leads to identify SKU delisting decisions.
- Partner with the Group Head of NPD to ensure that all processmilestones are tracked and visible to corporate leadership asnecessary.
- Lead the global monthly category meetings to identifydevelopment priorities and reduce duplicative requests, escalatingwhere necessary for resolution.
- Communicate LC Group requirementsthat will shape future NPD requests, e.g. manufacturing efficiencytargets, investment explorations, innovation capabilities, etc.
- Rigorously manage the process improvements that will deliverprogram delivery improvements against expectations.
- Manage andreport on the NPD KPIs to support expectations for program deliveryagainst available resource requirements and support wherenecessary.
- Coordinate with the commercial leaders on the programperformance analytics needed to support successful programevaluation and optimization. Knowledge Required :
- Degree or higherdegree in engineering or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in abrand led consumer product business with specific experience in newproduct development processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge in a director related product field with respect to material properties andmanufacturing processes.
- Ability to gauge technology and producttrends in the cookware space, proactively recommending solutionsfor incorporation into the development pipeline.
- Competency incollaborating with design and engineering agencies / individuals.
- Consumer centric mindset with an ability to leverage insight intodecision making.
- Ability to work autonomously, and multi-task inan agile environment.
- Excellent project management andcommunication skills.
- Strategic and tactical planning experiencesupported with analysis.
- Strong cross-cultural, interpersonal,written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in circular design / green design.
- Proficient in MSOffice, working knowledge of MS Project will be a plus.
- Sourcingand procurement experience.
