Responsibilities
For our division Health we are currently looking for a Clinical Sales Support Specialist who serves as a clinical expert and advisor, providing support to the business and sales team in the DACH region of the Clinical Effectiveness Business of Wolters Kluwer Health. Major product brands include : UpToDate, Lexicomp and EMMI Solutions.
This role is deeply engaged with both new business and existing accounts, is integrated with the outside sales team, while also liaising with marketing, product management, customer service and implementation specialists assisting sales reps to understand the depth and breadth of clinical drivers, medical verbiage, regulatory requirements and clinical employee needs.
Provide clinical expertise to the sales team to meet or exceed established sales goals, including top-line revenue growth, market share objectives and quota achievement by :
Supporting the outside sales team on client calls, in-person meetings, demos, and throughout the sales cycle by serving as clinical translator to assist sales reps to understand the depth and breadth of clinical drivers, medical verbiage, regulatory requirements and clinical employee development needs.
Build strong customer relationships necessary to identify the decision makers and understand the decision-making process at each customer opportunity. Leverage these relationships in order to help close business.
Building the foundation for the CMO, CNO and CPO to envision how the product solution suite supports both business needs and clinical outcomes
Positioning CE products as a mission-critical to improve patient safety, improve efficiency and increase the adherence to best practices based on clinical trusted technology and evidence-based solution
Effectively demonstrating multiple products and provide experience and use case benefits to help with the complex sales cycle.
Stay abreast of competitive activity and industry trends.
Drive successful customer renewals :
Partnering with the respective Sales Representative, holding annual or bi-annual business review meetings with customers to ensure satisfaction with current purchases and introducing new upcoming product releases to generate upselling opportunities; discuss mission critical positioning and inform the sales rep for appropriate follow-up and pricing. Focus very heavily on introducing new products to every customer during renewal time, focusing on maximizing the full bundle sale.
Reviewing and translating usage data with accounts when available, providing recommendation for additional products, services, or customization
Additionally, the Clinical Sales Support Specialist is expected to :
Become an industry and product expert, capable of serving as a value-added consultant to customers on both CE and competitive products. This will be accomplished by completion of company training programs and continuous self-learning.
Work closely with others to share bright ideas and best practices that will improve team performance.
Communicate with our customers and Sales Executives to answer their technical / clinical questions.
Interact with other departments in the organization to insure the proper handling of customer requirements.
Assistance in coordinating monthly newsletter, marketing promotions, literature and competitive information
Job Qualifications
Education : Clinical background - NP, PA, RPh, RN or equivalent required
Experience :
8+ years of experience preferably in either inpatient or ambulatory setting or other related experience required
Strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry.
Proven business acumen in successfully fostering value-based relationships and a skill set that enables successful relationships with numerous levels of healthcare professionals
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications :
Fluency in German and English is required
Exceptional presentation skills to help convey both the clinical and technical benefits of all Clinical Effectiveness solutions to a variety of customer stakeholders.
Self starter and independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously
Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Listens and presents with a high degree of comfort and credibility
Serves with passion and vigor, energy giver, organized, masters attention to detail, listens, has a high sense of urgency, brilliant on the basics of blocking and tackling, embraces accountability, hates to lose.
Travel requirements
Travel to an assigned territory to meet with Commercial Customers (up to 40%)
