Intro atmio is on a mission to save 1 Billion tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly which is as much as all emissions from commercial aviation worldwide. We are building a smart greenhouse gas measurement platform with portable sensor technology for energy companies that have to quantify, report, and reduce methane emissions. We are at the beginning of building a team of best-in-class talents , to solve this challenge, and tackle climate change! Tasks Your responsibilities Developing smart gas measurement devices to measure and reduce greenhouse gases in the oil and gas industry Evaluating, selecting and testing electrical and sensor components Developing and optimizing sensor systems and measurement processes Building prototypes and troubleshooting incidents Contributing to firmware development Being a core contributor to the hardware development from idea to series production Assisting in road map planning, estimation and hiring Reporting to and closely working with our CTO This role is right for you if... You have an inner urge to always push for excellence You love to get out of your comfort zone and roll up your sleeves You are an analytical thinker and able to develop complex sensor systems You can communicate technically complex topics clearly and efficiently You enjoy speaking to customers directly to get to the bottom of what they really need You work best when you have a lot of autonomy while being fully accountable for your actions You are good in balancing technical and economical constraints You appreciate direct & constructive feedback and are skilled in giving such You enjoy driving positive change in your team and to work in a team of professionals You want to have a positive impact for our planet Requirements Skills & experience that you will need Bachelor or Master degree in electronic engineering (or similar experience; focus on sensors) Minimum 5 years of in depth hardware engineering work experience Experience in creating measurement processes and eliminating side effects Given only high level requirements, able to plan and work autonomously while staying strongly aligned with your team Great to have : You have seen greatness : Having developed measurement hardware for series production and industrial use Experience with measuring methane and hydrogen or other gases A keen eye for industrial design and user experience Experience with CE-marking, ATEX requirements and / or certification Experience in CAD design and 3D printing Proficiency in programming languages relevant to microprocessor programming and production automation, such as C++ and Python ️ Location : Based in Hamburg, Germany Valid visa and working permit Benefits As a hardware engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing innovative technology solutions to reduce methane emissions in the oil and gas industry.
