As the Regional Controller EMEA you will play a key role in overseeing financial operations across the EMEA region. Reporting to the Group Corporate Controller youll manage a variety of financial and operational functions ensuring compliance accuracy and efficiency while collaborating with international teams. Your work will directly support the companys mission of innovation and operational excellence.
This hybrid role can be based in Oulu Finland Berlin Germany or Munich Germany .
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations for EMEA subsidiaries including monthly closing reporting and internal controls.
- Provide financial commentary on variances and trends to the HQ in North America.
- Supervise payroll tax compliance transfer pricing and accounting services across multiple European countries.
- Collaborate with Managing Directors and the Leadership Team across regional offices.
- Manage and develop a team of 2 accounting staff and liaise with external service providers.
- Represent the Finance function for EMEA ensuring alignment with global policies while meeting local requirements.
- Maintain tax compliance including VAT filings and ensure timely audit processes with minimal adjustments.
- Develop and implement operational workflows KPIs and process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Monitor budgets and expenses prepare performance reports and drive strategic initiatives.
- Support the implementation of projects programs and systems in collaboration with HQ.
- Travel up to 25% per month primarily within Europe.
Requirements
Education : University degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration. CPA or equivalent designation is highly desirable.Experience :At least 5 years in financial management and leadership roles within multinational companies.
Exposure to tech or manufacturing industries is preferred.Regional experience in Germany or Finland is an asset.Skills :Proficiency in English (fluency in German or Finnish is an advantage).
Expertise in ERP systems like Oracle SAP or Netsuite.Strong interpersonal communication and influencing skills.Proven ability to lead remote teams and manage complex operations.High attention to detail selfmotivation and problemsolving skills.Previous experience with GSuite and online collaborative tools is an asset.Benefits
