Essential Experience

The applying professional must have :

A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT Experience
Administration experience in Windows and / or Linux
Experience in a Team Leadership and / or Project Management Capacity
German and English Language (B2 Min)

Optional Experience

While not essential, some ‘cherry on top’ experience :

Programming knowledge in .NET, C#, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, Shell, Python etc

Job Description

Our client, who are a global manufacturing company are currently recruiting for an IT DevOps Team Lead to lead the team in the design and implementation of the entire software development lifecycle for both internal and external customers. You will guide a small team, tasked with growing the headcount as well as further develop the deployment processes to distribute and upgrade the software securely

This position is a hybrid based role in Würzburg, Germany with 2 days working remotely and 3 days working in the office.

Some of the responsibilities for both internal and external customers will include :

Follow application and platform operations, evaluating and solving operational disruptions

Creation and application of methodologies from DevOps to simplify workflows and procedures

As the Lead, take on the responsibilities of Product Owner, oversee the everyday functioning of the DevOps applications, and make necessary adjustments and enhancements.

In charge of troubleshooting and actively participating in problem management to identify an effective long-term fix

In pilot projects, you evaluate the newest IT trends and technology.

Together with others in your team, oversee the setup and management of server and container systems (Linux / Windows servers).

Using monitoring tools to keep an eye on system performance

Support for software development procedures, such as provisioning cloud-based resources and establishing and maintaining build and release procedures

Assess developed ideas and solutions for security components;

Travelling to national and international sites (across Germany, France, Switzerland, UK, US, Poland) 20% Per Year
